Using Visual Aids for Studying: Tips and Tricks

Hey there, Softies!  It's Livvy again, and I'm here to talk about one of my favorite study techniques: using mnemonic devices. Mnemonic devices are memory aids that help you remember information.  They work by associating the information with something else that's easier to remember.  Here are a few examples: Acronyms : These are words formed from the first letter of each word in a list. For example, to remember the order of operations in math (parentheses, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction), you can use the acronym PEMDAS. Rhymes : Rhymes can be used to remember lists of words or phrases. For example, "i before e, except after c, or when sounding like 'ay' as in neighbor and weigh." Acrostics : These are sentences where each word starts with the first letter of a list of words you're trying to remember.
